How to Celebrate
In architecture, we deal with spaces
Its different on paper and very different as an experience
Some say that, there should be order
Some say that there should be a pattern
The greeks beleived in modesty and simplicity
while the romans loved grandeur
Corbusier played around with rectilinearity
Bawa incorporated the outside in the inside
But what is common in all these approaches
Celebration.
All forms for built area,
Celebrate natural space
With the greeks it was modestly celebrating the contour through the Acropolis
In case of the Romans, its was celebrating the limitless skies with the sky high ceilings
So, celebrate
Celebrate space
Pick one thing that you love,
the sky, the water, the earth, the stars
and celebrate it in the form that you build.
How you do that,
is the problem you have to solve.
THAT is where all the fun begins !
